Album “The Back Of Beyond” is a joint project of composer/pianist Chaerin Im and composer Song youngnam.
This project is based on a simple motif, which served as a basis for the 8 tracks on the album.

This motif morphs, develops and blends with elements taken from classical music, free improvisation and ambient.
This project has a very personal sound, drastic string arrangements, big range of dynamic and unexpected improvisations.

[Someone’s journey is somewhat cynical. The beginning is always bold, but there has to be an end, and it can't always be pleasant. I don't know if this journey will end in a happening that can’t be laughed at or not at all. I don't want it to end just in vain. I wish all the best in this journey.]
